This material is some stuff I had .wav
files for on my sequencing computer on June 30, 2009. These are fragments of
things, works in progress, background pads for use in other works and jams with
a few people in the Eddie Currents Studios. There is a demo tune here I did for
a country singer. Who knows what you might un-earth? One of the drummers on
here not named Steve robbed my home. I had lots of material I'd worked on with
him however most of those songs will not be found on Eddie
Currents. |

4 string bass guitar These live (The Curtis Perterson Auditorium) MTV
(clever) tracks were recorded on a 4 track cassette machine by John Monroe
under horrendous conditions with attempted re-mix by Tom Moore using Cubase and
mastered with Sound Forge. Sorry Dave, I know the drums suck - a lot. To go
back in time ... you should have heard this guy play folks! Strangely, one of
the easier to work with drummers I've ever played with - he MADE me want to
play. |

Mi-kan-iks was recorded live on very a super
cheesy Sankyo cassette machine using dirt cheap microphones duct-taped up onto
the low ceiling, re-touched with Sound Forge. The spirit was there but the
flesh not willing as Jody was as fried that Halloween night with a full moon as
I've ever seen a human being - and yet he played in awesome fashion. The best
set we ever played was erased and recorded over that same night - to
conserve tape. I still recall the resultant snappy retort: "Dummy!" Plenty of
bass errors as these guys were together years and I was new but good songs,
hooks and lyrics. Jody was very talented. Some are smart - some are
intelligent. |

Tom plays: Hand-made custom 4 string bass guitar
1st band Tom played with after moving to Florida
from Ann Arbor, MI. There WERE some pretty good recordings of this band that
somehow Booger managed to purloin. All of the decent recordings of this
band are "missing" or he will not release them and so these cassette recorded
songs from a show at the Old Time Bar are the only material Tom has. Re-touched
in Sound Forge. The material heard here are the last four songs of a long night
- this band was HOT though kind of hard to tell this late. Also are included 2
priceless recordings of Booger, myself and a drummer I think named "Chris" (his
girlfriend was HOT) jamming for the first time in a haunted house. Scary funky
and metallic, Booger was out of his element but tasty non the less. Just
jamming bass. |

This two song set was actually from an
actual vinyl record put together by Mike Zipprich (Zip) called "Reindeer
Blues". The blues version of RB is all Mike. The "B" side was called "Steppin'
Out" and was used as the AM wakeup music on Citrus 95 for many years.
Re-touched in Sound Forge. Recorded at Mirror Image Studios, the mix sucks
because there wasn't one. The simple fact is that Mike got ripped off. Too bad
as these were really fun and done with a very good cause at heart. |

Jazz 4 string bass guitar
This group was assembled to play a
Leonard Skynrd tribute concert near Jacksonville at LS's home base and for
family of it's members. All of these Christian songs were penned by Mitch. The
recording was done at an early rehearsal on Mitch's Boss 8 track and Forged.
Tom was new, not to Chrisianity but simply not an "expert" Skynrd player and
did not know the songs at this point so things are pretty rough indeed - still,
good songs. Playing Skynrd songs to their families, especially the bass
player's family mixed together with original Christian stuff - a but like being
someone that never played any Rush tunes trying to do so live with just a
couple of days notice in front of Geddy's family. Argh. |

This was a second attempt at ArchAngel
as a trio after Mitch disbanded the first group. Steve Ward was the original
bass player in ArchAngel, whom Tom somehow replaced. Steve moved to drums and
did a truly outstanding job on the instrument. Most recordings were made on an
Akai digital box or Sony MiniDisc and Forged. Rehearsal stuff and some live
tunes from actual shows. |

Perhaps the second Florida band Tom played
in, this set includes a couple of rough originals as they were being learned
(good songs) and a cover or two. BAD recordings made exclusively on "Alcon Low
Noise", the ONLY brand of tape approved by Larry! Touched by Forge, but nothing
can help much. Rehearsal material, learning songs and lots of dings and
scrapes. |

Tom was the original bass player in
this blues band assembled and led by Keith Caton, "The Accelerators". Sadly,
this was a bad time for Tom following the death of his fiance and the poisoning
of his Mother by her new husband. There is much internal conflict between bass
and drums that you can easily hear. Still, a good group with a good idea. A
rehearsal tune and a live cut from a show at Rainbow Springs are here. Forged.
Keith is truly a student of the blues and a stalwart practitioner. When found,
more to come. |

Recorded in Ann Arbor, MI, Tom jamming
with an old friend and an excellent guitar player, my roomate, Tom Fezzey.
Recording is not so great but the players were. The sax is a bit shrieky and
out of tune causing some turmoil.

Best friends at the last jam in an
apartment just prior to moving to Florida. Two more musicians stopped by on
moving day and jammed as well, Bud (guitar) and Harvy (sax). Great fun, loose,
lotsa mistakes, way too much Ganja. Recorded on Fez's Nakamichi portable
cassette machine and Forged. Awful bass!! Included to hear Fez and Tom Scherer
- tasty. |

This tune features some incredible sax
by Dave O'Rourke who passed away a while back. An incredibly gifted musician
I'll miss very much. Gil still plays in the area. This song is Harlem Nocturne
and made more famous as the Mike Hammer theme music. Recorded on MiniDisk and
Forged. |

trained and so these songs were fairly easy to produce. Listen to Scape
